Japanese Gyoza Recipe

Japanese gyoza「餃子(ギョウザ)」 is a popular Japanese dumpling commonly served as a side dish or appetizer.

Japanese-style gyoza are usually pan-fried, with a crispy bottom and juicy filling.

Ingredients

  • Gyoza wrappers
  • Ground pork
  • Cabbage
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Soy sauce
  • Sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the cabbage.
  2. Mix pork, cabbage, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  3. Place filling in wrappers and fold.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and cook gyoza until bottoms are golden.
  5. Add water, cover, and steam until cooked through.

Tips

  • Do not overfill the wrappers.
  • Serve hot with dipping sauce.
